Shield foaming agent is used for soil conditioning in EPB tunnelling. The foam solution (agent + water) is mixed with compressed air in a foam generator to produce fine, stable foam, which is injected at the cutterhead face and in the excavation chamber. The foam modifies soil properties — reducing internal friction angle, increasing plasticity, lowering permeability — making muck easier to discharge while reducing cutterhead torque and tool wear.

HDC SF series uses biodegradable surfactants, glycol-free and environmentally friendly. Long foam half-life ensures the foam does not collapse from cutterhead cutting to screw conveyor discharge. Suitable for sand, clay, silt and mixed ground conditions.

Foam agent is used via the TBM foam generation system. Add concentrate to the foam tank at the recommended concentration, mix with water, pump to the foam generator where it is mixed with compressed air to form foam, then inject through pipelines to the cutterhead face and excavation chamber.
