● Water injection systems — kills SRB in injection water, preventing H2S generation and pipeline corrosion
● Gathering pipelines — periodic batch treatment to control biofilm and microbially-influenced corrosion (MIC)
● Crude oil storage tanks — injected into the water phase to inhibit bacterial growth in bottom water
● Industrial water systems — paper mill white water, paint emulsions, metalworking fluids
Dosing Guidelines
Two dosing methods are used: continuous injection and batch (slug) treatment. Continuous injection is suitable for water injection stations using metering pumps. Batch treatment is used for pipelines and tanks — a higher concentration is dosed every 3-7 days, maintained for 24 hours before resuming normal operation.
